There is something about starting the day with a good breakfast beside the water. This Saturday was glorious – warm, sunny and good company.
Doug’s Seafood Café is a popular spot and unfortunately they don’t take reservations (but they do for cyclists I believe) . . . so it is a bit of a gamble as to whether there will be enough seating, considering thatthe cyclists frequent the place in droves. Anyhow, 13 of us managed to squeeze together, but only after 4 people vacated their table so we could all sit together. It was noisy but the food was good and reasonably priced.
The waterfront is very popular with people jogging, walking their dogs or having a picnic brekkie, notto mention the pelotons of cyclists up and down Flinder’s Parade.
These breakfast get togethers are great for catching up with members that don’t often manage to come on the rides, so it was good to catch up with Rosie, Steveand Rob Dixon. Also good to catch up with the TT Man after his trip to France.
Anyone seen Larry the Llama?
Till next time.
