Dice Run fundraiser for SEQ Ulysses Memorial Park – Sunday 25th August 2013
What a great rollup for our Dice Run out to the Aratula Pub! Twenty bikes set off from Carseldine, four of which also carried pillions. After 24 rolls of the dice were recorded we headed off towards the city down Gympie Road, The Valley and over the Story Bridge. It wasn’t long before were-grouped in Ipswich Road at Moorooka then headed off to our first pit stop and coffee break at Yamanto where we again rolled the dice. Along the way we had two more stops to roll the dice at Peake Crossing and Boonah before arriving at Aratula. Once the tallying was completed, the winners with the highest and lowest scores were declared - congratulations Mary, winner of the highest score!
And Trevor the booby prize for the lowest score!
This was great fun and thanks goes to Geoff and Julie, Sandy and Louise for the prizes donated. Northern Gateway branch was able to contribute $240 towards the days total of $2000 raised by all the SEQ Branches attending for maintenance of the Ulysses Memorial Park at Somerset Dam.
After filling up at the sausage sizzle and being refreshed with cool drinks and entertainment at the pub, we headed off in different directions to find our way home.
There was also approximately $700 raised through the multi-draw raffles for UCARF so well done everyone.
